Hi Everybody!
I would LOVE to have Samantha's Sleigh and Accessories, and I was wondering if any of you have ever seen that set or any of the pieces go on sale in the monthly specials? I'm dyingggggggggg to have it but am not dying to pay for it...lol!
A big thanks again for all the help with finding a tea set! Believe it or not, I ended up finding one here in town for $15. She'll love it and I won't care (well, not as much) if I find pieces all over the yard!

never been on sale yet, although it has sold out a few times and has even been taken off the website a few times but came back. Good luck.

ps...you do realize this is really meant to be display/stationary, it doesn't really get "pulled" by the horse.

I think I remember hearing about it being on sale at the Madison sale last year though a part of it was missing (a part that attaches the horse to the sleigh).

The sleigh is absolutely beautiful and I leave it out for a good portion of the winter, removing the greenery. It stays on my hearth in the family room where we all enjoy it. It is worth every penny I paid for it and I consider it an heirloom that will one day be handed down to my daughter, and then her children.

It would be nice if they put it on sale, but it seems to sell fine at full price so I doubt it.
My first reaction to the sleigh was "no way! it is too big and too expensive!"
Then last year right before Christmas, I started thinking about the collection of Christmas houses that I had years ago (sold off to pay medical bills.) Each house was around $50 and I had 4 of them. When finances got better, my husband told me I should buy my houses back, but I hadn't really missed them. Then I thought about the cost of a new aritificial tree and once again, that high priced sleigh didn't seem quite so high. Last of all, I thought about all of the little things that I used to pick up for Christmas decorating and how they all added up. I finally realized that I didn't want any new Hallmark ornaments, and if I skipped the Christmas poinsettas, I would have plenty of room for the sleigh in front of the fireplace.
It is only out for a short time every year, but I adore my sleigh and hope that someday my grandchildren will have fond memories of helping me set it up with my dolls just as my own kids have fond memories of helping their grandmother decorate her tree with Hallmark ornaments and set up her ceramic houses.
